How governing boards can engage with staff
Learn how boards can establish a culture of meaningful and effective staff engagement.
Engaging with staff is essential for boards to fulfil their employer responsibilities. It can also enable the board to make itself visible, learn what staff think about the organisation and create a positive culture in which the governing board and staff see themselves as part of the same team.
Engaging with stakeholders should be a consultative process – boards should listen to the views of staff and take a considered course of action which may at times differ from the feedback stakeholders provide.
