Completing the schools financial value standard (SFVS)
The SFVS provides assurance to governing boards and school leaders that their school is meeting the basic standards for good financial health
The SFVS helps schools and governing boards to identify changes that need to be made to use resources more efficiently. It provides examples of good practice and signposts support available to address issues.
Maintained schools must complete and submit the SFVS to their local authority annually.
The SFVS can also be used throughout the year by boards as a tool for ensuring effective oversight and management of resources.
