Governing board evaluation

Website audit

Ensuring compliance is a key responsibility for all boards. There are very specific requirements for the information that must be available on school, academy and trust websites. It is, therefore, important that boards assure themselves that this information is present, accurate and up to date.

Our service

The NGA consultant will review the trust or school website, or the trust and academy websites for a multi-academy trust, to check for the following:

  • Is information required by statute/ statutory regulation/ statutory guidance published?
  • Is such published information stated to be up to date?
  • Is such published information actually up to date?
  • Is such published information accurate?
  • Are the policies, procedures and protocols required by statute/statutory regulation/statutory guidance published and up to date?

Our impact

The consultant provides a summary report, which will guide you on addressing any areas of non-compliance or improvement. It will:

  • Identify areas of compliance and non-compliance
  • Include brief explanatory comments evaluating compliance
  • Identify where information is published but we do not have access to relevant information to be able to check compliance so you can check this yourselves.
