Networks
Our special interest networks help governors, trustees and governance professionals to address the challenges faced by governing boards. They provide tailored information and guidance, ensuring your views are heard and help shape NGA’s future work.
Featuring policy and practice updates, this online network enables governance professionals to discuss their contribution to effective governance. Governance Professionals Network meetings are held virtually. Available to members who are governance professionals in schools and trusts.
If you do not have an NGA membership, you can request a place at a meeting by emailing clerkingmatters@nga.org.uk. After attending one meeting, you will need NGA membership to participate in further meetings.
If you are interested in SEND governance, this termly network offers an opportunity to exchange information and good practice. It also provides a platform to discuss issues relating to special provision, meeting the needs of pupils with SEND and current policy in this area.
Available to members.
These informal online networking events are a chance to meet other young governors and trustees and join facilitated discussions. You don’t need to be a member of NGA or the Young Governors’ Network to attend one of these events: we welcome anyone aged under 40, and anyone aged under 40 who would like to find out more about becoming a governor.
Available to any current or aspiring school governor or trustee aged under 40.
The termly Local Association Network provides a platform where executives come together to share valuable information and effective practices. If you're interested in starting a local association in your area, we warmly invite you to participate in our meetings.
If you do not yet have an NGA Local Association membership, you can request a place at a meeting by emailing katherine.soanes@nga.org.uk. After attending one meeting, you will need to hold an NGA Local Association membership to continue participating in future meetings.
