Our objectives:
1. To promote school improvement and high standards of governance in Swindon schools
2. To ensure representation of Governors’ views to the Local Authority.
3. To promote communication, mutual trust and transparency between the Local Authority, schools and other bodies through partnership working.
4. To work with the Local Authority to ensure that Governors are kept updated on new developments, both local and national, of interest to them.
5. To facilitate the sharing of expertise and good practice between governing bodies.
6. To work with the Borough of Swindon ‘Governor Support Department’ on all matters relating to the recruitment, induction, training and updating of governors.
7. To assist, whenever possible, School Governing Bodies in difficulties.
